Think Tank Project #3
Bullying Education, Prevention and Intervention

Description

The WHY

It is our collective belief that everyone wants to feel safe and secure at school. No one likes to be teased, picked on, harassed, shamed, or humiliated. Our Think Tank group has researched ways to help prevent these types of behaviors, as well as some innovative interventions for when you find yourself in a bullying situation.  If you are a witness, a victim, or the bully, we will teach you strategies for dealing with bullying on this campus.

The HOW

You will need one PREZI with embedded quotes throughout to

1) INTRODUCE the problem

2) DEFINE bullying

3) PROVIDE evidence that illustrates that bullying is a problem in schools and that bullying is a problem in THIS school. (You may need to survey students to obtain this data.)

4) INTRODUCE both prevention and intervention strategies for all parties involved: witnesses, victims and bullies

5) ENGAGE the participants in an activity. It can be a quiz or a game.

You will also need a VIDEO to illustrate ANY of the above 1-5 required elements.

You will also need a MLA formatted WORD document of your works cited.

The WHAT

Your Think Tank team has been commissioned to train underclassmen on bullying prevention and intervention.

(Feel free to use the above information in your introduction)
