Vocabulary Building
Students use Circle Maps to define vocabulary words. The circle maps are broken up into 4 quadrants. In quadrant 1, students define the word. In quadrant 2, students write synonyms. In quadrant 3, students write antonyms. In quadrant 4, students create a graphic representation of the word or construct a sentence using the word. In clock partners, students test each other on Fridays.
