Choose a quote from your D.E.A.R. reading this week. Cite the direct quote below. Include the title of the book you're reading, the author and the page number where the selected quote is located. Briefly summarize the quote in your own words, explore the quote's meaning (your interpretation) and then state why you think the quote matters to the whole of the story (the implications). After you have posted, respond to one other person's Say, Mean, Matter entry. The person you respond to does NOT have to be in your same class period or your same grade. Your initial post is due each Friday. Your response is due by Monday. Do NOT WRITE, "I AGREE" TO SOMEONE ELSE. You may write, "Your post made me consider ____," "Your post reminded me of this other _____ I read and how _____," etc.
You must write your first name and last initial and class period each time you post. Example: Shelia S, period 1. You must also use academic language. Absolutely NO texting abbreviations.
