This week's Joy Story, happened today. I was in the restroom and I seen this girl who I always see in the restroom every 2nd period passing period. I noticed that she was staring at my skirt, and little did I know , she was examining it. Next thing you know, I simply smiled. And that's when she was shocked and said , " I like your skirt , where'd you get it?" This simply start because I SMILED. If I didn't , she wouldn't have the urge to tell me that. Some people may react differently by thinking she is a weirdo or something because she was looking at your outfit, but a simple smile can turn it to positive. And ever since that time period, I seen her in the hallway and started saying hi and now we're friends. What a way to make new friends. A simple smile,. that's all we need.

One of my best friends was upset and sulking because of family issues. I felt very uncomfortable myself seeing him like that. I decided to buy him breakfast and surprise him when I got to school in the morning. I went to Starbucks and got his favorite drink and a chocolate croissant hoping to cheer him up! Although I was not able to give him the breakfast in person, I saw him later on in the day. He was smiling and thanked me for such a kind gesture. I hope that he will be in better mood throughout the next couple of weeks as he battles these family conflicts. I will be there for him when he needs me!

Once in the restroom, I walked into a stall where a girl had left her cellphone lying on top of the toilet paper dispenser. I was wondering if I should just leave it there so that maybe if she comes back, she will find it. A thought came into my mind, and it was what would happen if she doesn't come back and cannot find her cellphone, so i decided to take it to the lost and found. Before I left, a girl ran into the restroom looking like she was panicking, and I was sure that it was her phone. I asked her if it was hers and she was so relieved and said thank you. Doing these little things will not hurt me and it's great how it helps others.

Last Tuesday on my way home, I saw a little girl fall down on her bike. I looked around, and it seemed like she rode her bicycle ahead of her mom. I noticed that her mom was busy talking to someone and did not see that her child had fallen. Therefore, I quickly ran ahead and picked her up from the ground. She was a really brave girl. She did not cry even though her knees were a bit scraped up. When I brought the girl back to her two feet, her mom finally took notice. She ran to us, and her daughter told her what had happened. She thanked me and asked how she can repay me back. I simply smiled and said to her "I'm glad I can help." I'm glad I was able to help someone because helping others is what saves humanity.

One of my closet friend goes to a college out-of-state. He's been telling how much he dislikes it over there and awaits the day he comes back to California. He tells me how he is so lonely and how much trouble he has being away from his friends and family here in California. He dreams about the day he comes back to California when winter break comes. He doesn't have friends in that college like he has friends here. My friends and I talk to him everyday over the internet and webcam once in a while. So I thought it'd be a good idea to have my friends and I send him a care package with all the necessities and goodies he enjoys. We also wrote him a letter saying how much we miss him and how it's not the same without him around. We also told him to stay strong and not to give up. We'll be excited when he comes home.

The job that I work at requires a lot of customer service, but the other day there was a woman who comes in pretty often and she is one of our regulars. She ended up ordering a lot of drinks so of course I gave her a cup-holder so that her drinks would be more convenient for her. But I suppose she ordered a lot more than usual and I asked her if she wanted me to help her carry it out to her car. We usually don't do that and of course the lady declined my offer since she thought it'd be too much work for me and that she can carry it. I'm sure she was capable of carrying it all herself, but why make the poor lady struggle? I just went ahead and helped her carry it all to her car. She really appreciated it and tipped me a few bucks afterwards so I guess we were both happy at the end of the day!

This happened a while ago, back when I was playing Guild Wars 2. As a guild leader, I lead my guild into the battlegrounds and took a bunch of points. This is an event that occurs randomly inside the game. I did spam the chat to make the guildmates to feel good about the raid and encouraged them to win the battle. I have teamspeak as well, so communicating is easier as we all can talk to another using a mic. At the end, I bought a guild box. This box used up most of my gold in game, but it was worth it. The box is only sold to the guild leaders who have recently won a raid. Each member of the guild receives custom gears, gold, and skins. It was just a wonderful feeling to be able to give my men joy.
